The “30 Stories” project is a set of three mixed-methods arts project, each composed of 30 stories shared by community members and paired with an image created by a community member. These series are intended to highlight the diverse experiences of young guys who like guys.
In our first series, entitled “OurStories”, participants shared their experiences of coming out, not coming out, and our various relationships with “the closet”.
Our next series is an intergenerational project. 30 years after the HIV/AIDS epidemic, we want to young guys today to hear from and learn from 30 older guys who lived through such a crucial period of our community’s history. If you (or someone you know) has a story to share from 30 years ago, please join this important movement. Full details and information on how to participate can be found here.
