OurSpace is kicking off the new year by hosting a discussion group for young guys of colour who like guys! Non-white identities are massively underrepresented in mainstream gay media, positions of power, and gay-dominated spaces, so let’s get together and start to empower and build community for ourselves.
We can talk about racism on Grindr and dating while not-white. Or we can talk about How to Get Away with Murder. Sometimes it’s just great to get together with other guys of colour, hear and share lived experiences, and know that you are not alone.
Date: Wednesday, January 20, 2016
Location: The 519 Community Centre, Room 204
Accessibility: The 519 is a wheelchair-accessible space.
Please note: this space is for young gay/bi/queer/2-Spirit cis and trans guys of colour. If you have any specific topics you’d like to address, any specific access or accommodation needs, or if you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com
