Years ago, being gay was classified as a mental illness. Even though times have changed, many gay, bi queer and trans men continue to struggle with mental health.
In celebration of Mad Pride, OurSpace is hosting a workshop about the current state and future of mental health for gay, bi, queer, and trans men. Participants will get the opportunity to challenge the very notion of mental illness and critically unpack what forces perpetuate the challenges of mental health for queer and trans men. This will be followed by a strategy session to explore what possibilities could exist within the next ten years for strengthening mental wellness and resiliency within our community.
Date: Saturday, July 18th
Location: 399 Church Street, Room 220
